Power folding hinge

A motorized hinge on the bottom section of railing to move the rail away from a doorway or entrance and eliminate the tripping hazard.

Slide track 

An ingenious rail system that moves up or down mirroring the chair movement. This keeps the rail out of the way at the top and bottom of the stairs to eliminate the tripping hazard.
