The Handicare 1100 straight stairlift uses a patented four-motor system that eliminates the need for a gear rack. The result is a fully enclosed travel rail for a stay–clean look. With a wide range of power options and an innovative slide-track feature when you have a door at the top of bottom of your stairs, the Handicare 1100 is next-gen technology.

Developed by Handicare, the friction drive delivers a super smooth ride with stop and start. Without the need for a gear rack that’s use for rack and pinion systems, the travel rail is fully closed, with openings for dust, dirt, or grease.

Choose a power folding footrest to add to your Handicare 1100 if you find it difficult to bend down to fold the footrest.
A power seat swivel automatically turns the stairlift when it arrives at the top landing for safe deboarding if you find it hard to manually turn the seat with seat swivel handle.
If you have a door or entrance near the bottom or top of your stairs, the slide track system eliminates the potential tripping hazard when the rail protrudes into the doorway. As the lift moves up or down, the track retracts to clear the way.
A simple solution for a top landing doorway is the zero intrusion brackets that secure the top of the travel rail to the top step, eliminating the rail intrusion – and tripping hazard – beyond the staircase.
Add a lightweight manual hinge, aided by a gas strut, to the bottom section of the travel rail as an easy way to move the rail out of the way at the bottom landing.
